Amazing Black Swan

My knew favorite movie is Black Swan directed by Darren Aronofsky and starring Natalie Portman as Nina, the beautiful ballerina with some mental instability. This is a psychological thriller which will get into your skin and keep you on the edge.
Nina ends up starring in a new production of Swan Lake. As Princess Odette (the white swan), she performs with passion and portrays the character perfectly. She struggles with the other role of Odile, the Black Swan, as her friend and rival Lily (played by Mila Kunis) shows off her talent. Nina will pull you into the depths of her soul as she progresses into the role she fought so hard for, and becomes the black swan.
I find this movie even more interesting as I search more into this movie and uncover a theory developed by Nassim Nicholas Taleb in which he says: Black Swans are "rare events beyond the realm of normal expectations." He also talks about how we are fooled easily and overestimate knowledge as well as human understanding. This theory of his ties in perfectly to the movie because it definitely seems beyond all expectations. It also shows how easily the audience in the movie were fooled by Nina.
I can't say enough to show you how intriguing the Black Swan is. You simply should see this. Even if you have no interest in ballet, the strange twists will keep you watching. Personally, the ballet is beautiful and amazing, with an ending perfectly sublime.
